Whether it be our own event or something you propose to do here, Mencius Society is committed to making accessible all sorts of folk and classical arts to the community. Through workshops and seminars, we seek to facilitate productive learning situations in an intimate setting (generally limited to 6, 15 or 25 people depending on the subject matter). Mostly one-day events and sometimes running as courses meeting once a week, our workshop series has covered a wide range of cultural arts including taichi styles, tea tasting and appreciation, classical brush writing, old-time American music, Chinese New Year rituals and home-style Cantonese cooking. We welcome your suggestions and proposals for your own presentations! Book this space here!

Artists, teachers & speakers are welcome to start a course at Mencius Society. Contact us with your proposal
