Mencius Society for the Arts marks 20th year spotlighting a New York-Chinese musical heritage Lower East Side, NYC – This year’s mid-autumn moon shines on two musical stages in New York City as Mencius Society for the Arts celebrates its 20th anniversary in a performance medley – a new-edgy musicale EastRiver Over the Moon on Sept 16, at the Manhattan landmark theatre Symphony Space, followed by a Canto Opera Festival at the New York Chinatown historic Chinese Community Center on Sep 23-24, with a different program each of the three days.
